We serve Ridgefield and surrounding Southwest Washington communities. Contact us with your location and we can confirm mobile service availability in your area.

How long does a windshield replacement take?

Most windshield replacements take approximately 60-90 minutes, depending on the vehicle. Vehicles requiring ADAS camera calibration may require additional time.

How soon can I drive my vehicle after the windshield is replaced?

Safe drive-away time depends on the adhesive, vehicle and conditions at the time of installation. Your technician will give you the proper safe drive-away time when the installation is completed.

How do I know if my windshield can be repaired or needs to be replaced?

Small rock chips can often be repaired before they spread. Larger damage, cracks, damage in critical areas, or multiple areas of damage may require windshield replacement. Contact us and we can help determine the best option.

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. We work with insurance companies and can assist customers with windshield and auto glass insurance claims.

Can you help me set up an insurance glass claim?

Yes. We can help guide you through the claim process and provide the information needed to get your auto glass claim started.

Do I have the right to choose my own auto glass company when using insurance?

Yes. In Washington, you have the right to choose the glass repair facility you want to perform your auto glass repair or replacement. You are not required to use the glass company suggested by an insurance company or claims administrator.

What is ADAS windshield calibration?

ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Many newer vehicles use a camera mounted near or behind the windshield for features such as lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking. After windshield replacement, that camera may need to be recalibrated according to the vehicle manufacturer's requirements.

Does my vehicle need to be recalibrated after windshield replacement?

If your vehicle has a windshield-mounted camera or certain ADAS safety features, the manufacturer may require calibration after the windshield is replaced. We can determine your vehicle's calibration requirements.

Can you replace and calibrate my windshield during the same appointment?

In many cases, yes. Rapid Auto Glass provides both windshield replacement and ADAS camera calibration, allowing us to handle the complete service without sending you somewhere else whenever the vehicle and calibration procedure allow it.

Do you replace door glass, back glass and other vehicle glass?

Yes. In addition to windshields, we replace door glass, side glass and back glass on many cars, trucks and SUVs.

What type of replacement glass do you use?

We use quality automotive replacement glass appropriate for your vehicle and its equipment. Glass options can vary depending on the vehicle, availability, insurance requirements and whether OEM glass is requested or required.

Do you offer a warranty on windshield replacement?

Yes. Our windshield replacements are backed by a lifetime no-leak and workmanship warranty for as long as you own the vehicle.

What information do you need to provide an accurate quote?

We typically need your name, phone number, year, make and model of the vehicle, along with the type of glass that needs service. For windshield replacement, providing the VIN helps us identify the correct windshield and options for your vehicle.

Can I pay out of pocket instead of using insurance?

Absolutely. You can pay directly for your auto glass service or use insurance when coverage applies. We can provide an out-of-pocket quote and help you compare your options before deciding.
